What is DEF?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-toxic, colourless solution made of 32.5% high-purity automotive-grade urea and 67.5% de-ionized, de-mineralized water.
It is a mandatory requirement for all BS6 diesel vehicles equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology – from trucks and buses to construction equipment and premium SUVs.

How DEF Works?
DEF works with your vehicle's SCR system in 3 simple steps:

Reaction: Inside the SCR catalyst, the heat breaks DEF down into ammonia and CO2.
Reduction: The ammonia converts harmful Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) into two harmless elements – pure Nitrogen and Water Vapour – which exit the tailpipe.
